Final Fantasy XIII takes place in Cocoon,the game is played from a third person's point of view.
The players will navigate from one place to another either by foot or by riding a bird Chocobo.
When you reach a particular enemy the game changes arena and then you fight him like in a tekken game,and then you proceed with the game.During a fight you can summon Eidolon to help you win the fight,you can enable a mode after which your summoned creature will repeatedly attack your enemy and take more than half of his power.
